Isn’t our own server room good enough?
Athena can ensure optimal levels of uptimes and security. Our temperature and humidity controlled facility is protected from crashes, hacking, viruses, fire, and flood. We have our own emergency power generator and fire-fighting equipment onsite. In fact, our hosting centre is located in the heart of an underground former National Bank cash depot behind a five tonne steel door. TDC built their IP hub near our hosting centre and we keep a redundant line – just in case. What does your server room offer?
What if the systems crash?
Feel free to go on holiday or take the kids to the park. We will handle all aspects of operation and monitoring of your systems; you don’t even have to bring your mobile with you. All our systems have 24/7 monitoring.
Who do we call in case of problems?
You get a support hotline number that you can always call during our normal hours. If you need a more flexible support solution with 24/7 access, we can provide this as well. Your solution will be tailored to your needs.
What happens if there is a blackout?
Our state-of-the-art hosting centre has safeguards in place to prevent power failures, but if an emergency should occur, we have our own transformer station and diesel power generator that can run your systems indefinitely.

What if Athena closes?
Athena is Denmark’s second largest supplier of outsourcing and hosting to the SMB market. Parts of our business go back to 1975 and today there are Athena branch offices all over Denmark and Northern Germany. So you don’t have to worry – we will be here tomorrow.
And if you do require your data back, we keep a copy in an external vault that you can access if needed.
What if there is a fire?
Our hosting centre is very well fireproofed: we have an Argonite fire extinguishing system that quenches any fire by means of a gas that is completely safe for humans and IT equipment – and your data.
What happens to our IT department?
Your IT department can free up resources to work strategically with company IT and serve in an advisory capacity – instead of spending all their time responding to IT emergencies.
